Downright Special Fridays 

Downright Special Fridays are our specialist play and learning groups. These weekly early intervention sessions are tailored to the specific learning needs of children with Down syndrome and are also great fun! Parents get the chance to meet and chat over coffee whilst learning some Makaton sign language along the way! We’d love to see you there! 

Morning Sessions 

For babies and children with Down Syndrome aged 0-5 years (approximately). Pre-school brothers and sisters are welcome to join us too. 
 
Every Friday in Term Time. Dates for next term (morning groups): 
 
10th, 17th, 24th, 31st January | 7th, 14th, 28th February |  
7th, 14th, 21st, 28th March | 4th April

Afternoon Sessions 

Sessions run monthly or fortnightly on Fridays and are for school-aged children up to around age 8. Children attend with their Teaching Assistants from school.

Downright Dance 

Do you like dancing and performing arts? Are you aged 11-25? Then our Downright Dance sessions are just for you! 
 
Mondays (term-time only) 6.30pm-7.30pm | The Sports Hub, Wolfreton School, Willerby HU10 6HB | Dance Leader: Joanna Harker | Cost: First two sessions free, then £5 per session payable half-termly. | To book or find out more email office@downrightspecial.co.uk or call us on 01482 420160 or complete our registration form.

Training 

We offer a range of training for families, school staff and health professionals, tailored to the specific learning profile for people with Down syndrome including those who may also have a dual diagnosis of Down Syndrome and another need such as autism.
