Fashion Show a Model Success

Fashion Show a Model Success

A fashion show has generated about £2,000 for a charity which supports children with Down syndrome.

Milla Boutique, which has boutiques in Swanland and Barton-upon-Humber, planned the sell-out event at Hull Collegiate School in Anlaby on October 2 in support of Downright Special.

More than 100 people attended, alongside various stallholders.

Sarah Mangham, social secretary at Downright Special, said she was delighted with the evening’s success and thanked everyone who helped to make it possible.

She said: “We couldn’t have done this without the support of Milla Boutique, Paul Gordon Hair Salon and everyone else involved, especially the volunteers.

“Downright Special relies on the support of the local community and this was an outstanding example of what can be achieved.

“The fashion show was a brilliant event, the models looked fantastic and we have had some wonderful feedback. We look forward to many more fundraising events for our charity in the future.”
